Peace Proms Concert

On behalf of 3rd and 4th class, here are our recounts of the Peace Proms Concert which took place in City West on the 2nd of February 2014.

It was alot fun.We sung 8 songs in total. There was an orchestra which was made up lots of different instruments.

By Àine McGivney

It was a thrilling experience for Crosserlough N.S. We sang Thriller,Cotton Eye Joe,The Power of One and Firework. We were called the stars of the show, most people liked that but I thought the orchestra was.The audience was sitting in the auditorium aswell.

by Dylan Stead

When I woke up, I was really exited but I was a bit nervous too. When I got on the bus, I went to the back. I was the only boy at the back. When we got to City West, we got off the bus. Then we did some practice. We did not practice all the songs. When we were finished practice, we had our lunch. I got more nervous by the second. When it was time for the real thing, my body started shaking. When we went in, there were millions of people in the auditorium. It was hard to find my parents but Miss Lynch helped me find them. The songs we sang were called Dance Evolution, The Muppets Medley, One World in Harmony, Power of One, Sir Duke, Superhits Medley, World in Union and Crossing Borders. Dance Evolution, the Muppets Medley and Superhits Medley have a mix of songs while the others are one whole song. When it was over, I went to my parents and we went home. I felt proud of myself after the concert.

Bishop Leo visits our School

On Thursday the 20th of November we were honoured to have Bishop Leo O'Reilly visit our school. He talked to 2nd class about First Confession and First Communion.

The boys and girls got an opportunity to ask Bishop Leo some questions about his life as Bishop of Kilmore. He was a very friendly man and we hope he enjoyed his visit to Crosserlough.
