Ethos

The aim of St. Mary’s National School is to encourage all children to reach their full potential, be it mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and/or socially, in an atmosphere and environment in which they feel safe, valued and secure where respect for self and others is the norm.

The following aims and values are prioritized in St. Mary’s N.S

• St Mary’s NS is committed to the holistic development of the child and will ensure that a broad and balanced curriculum is provided for each child.  

• Parental involvement in the education of their children is valued within St Mary’s NS. 

• Regular attendance at school is crucial if every child is to realise his/her potential.

• St Mary’s NS promotes a Catholic ethos with due respect for all other religions.

• St Mary’s NS strives to identify and provide early intervention for a pupil who has learning difficulties.
