4th & 5th class projects 2015
A Robot
Paddy
My project as you can see is a robot.
The materials I used are as follows:
-
2 rolls of tin foil
-
6 boxes
-
1 pritt stick
-
Pva glue
I had to measure up the boxes to make sure that the arms were
the same length and that the arms were the same width.
I covered the boxes in tin foil.
I made two eyes and put them on his face.
I feel good that it is finished.
I would like to thank my mammy for her help and my sister Tara too.
A Guitar
Hi there.I’m Rubin
I made this guitar from an old guitar that I used in a game.This is called UPCYCLING.
I used a bit of wood to hold the strings in place.The tricky bit was putting the strings on.
Next I glued the piece of wood on and then I was finished.
But I didn’t make it all by myself-my dad gave me a hand and I would like to thank him for helping me.
A Medal Holder
Hello there-Eimear anseo.
The materials I needed for my project were-
A wooden frame and some hooks
Daddy helped me with my project.Daddy cut out the frame from some wood.
I wrote O’Neills on it and daddy burned over to give it the brown burned effect.
We both stuck in the hooks and I can start putting on my medals onto it when I win them.
A big thank you to my daddy for helping me with my project.
I am so happy now that it completed and it looks well.
The Nest
Hello my name is Karl and I would like to show you my bird’s nest.
I receive lots of help from my mam.
We collected bendy sticks,dad gave us some cut grass,a robin from the Christmas tree decorations and eggshells.
I was glad when it was completed in one day.
Maybe I could put it up in a tree and see if other birds come to visit my robin.
I liked doing this project a lot with my mam.
I love looking at everyones designs-Do You?
A Wrestling Arena by Diarmuid
This is my project a wrestling arena.
It took me three hours to complete it.
My mammy and my daddy helped me along the way.
The tricky part was putting the ropes on.
My favourite part was putting kinex on.
I’m delighted with my design-and thanks to my parents as I couldn’t have done it without them.
An EU Flag by Ben
I made the European flag.I was inspired by the geography lessons we were doing in class so I made this flag.It took me two days to complete it.My daddy helped me cut it out.My favourite part was cutting out.
I used wood to make and I painted it the blue and yellow colour.
Ireland joined the E.U. in and E.U. stands for the European Union.
I’m happy that I did this project with my dad.
Penguin Scene by Megan
For my project I made a scene with penguins.It took three hours to complete and the trickiest part was putting in the lights at the back.My favourite part was drawing the penguins.I felt happy when it was finished.
My mam was a really good help.

Chelsea Flower show minature garden by Rachel
For my project I made the Chelsea flower show.My dad helped me with it.
I used a box ,an egg carton and foam flowers.It took me three days to complete it.
The hardest part was making the sign because it was hard to get it all the one size.
We used craft paperto cover the box and we used lollipop sticks for the branch.
It really was fun working with my dad on this project-that was my favourite part.
A Weaving Loom by Alannah
I want to say thank you to my parents for helping me with my project
Materials I used:
Wood , wool , screws , a needle and a comb and sandpaper .
Time length:
5hours and 30minutes over different periods of time
Tricky parts of my project:
Making the frame and starting the actual weaving part
How I made it:
First I made the frame with my dad we got lots of wood and cut it in certain paces so it would fit together, then we screwed into place .
After that we got the wool and started weaving it was hard at the start but then it got easier
We used the comb to tighten the wool so it would look tight .
After that we sanded it down with sand paper.
It felt like it would never end.
I’m glad I did it with my parents.

My project is a football pitch
It just took me a day to finish it.
I completed it with my mammy.
It is big but delicate
It was easy to create and build.

The Zoo
Hi my name is Eimear
Hello everyone thank you for taking the time to listen about my project.
I created the zoo.
I used a shoe box clue paper and carboard.
It took me three days to complete it I can tell you there were times in those days were I felt like giving up but I kept going.
I traced my animals of the laptop screen. And they look beautiful . I ended up with a lovely project.
I would just like to thank my mother for her wonderful help.

A Clock by Aine McGivney
I made a clock for my project it is in the shape of an ice-cream cone.
I made it with Claire and daddy.
The materials I used were a clock face, batteries ,plywood ,paper machee ,brown paint ,white paint,a brown bag and a piece of string.
It took me around six hours to complete.
A tricky part was putting the clock face into the plywood.
My favourite part is that I can hang it up in my room when I bring it home from school.
I feel happy that it is finally completed.

Hello my name is Sarah.
This is my project I used sand,play dough,newspaper and paint.
I thought the most difficult part was making all the people with the play-dough.
I completed it in two days.
My favourite part was making the cliffs.
My mammy helped me complete this project.
I like looking at everyone else’s project there all so good.
I really like the ferris wheel and the clock.
I felt very happy and proud when I was finished.

Hello my name is Ava.
My project is on the Solar System
I used was a flat cardboard-box , crepe paper , sellotape ,stars and a shoe-box I thought I would never finish it.
I also thought that the tricky part was trying to get the box to stand up and not fall down.
I did all 8 planets with the help of my wonderful Mum and Dad my favourite
part was making the planets .

Hello my name is Claudia.
My project is based on three famous landmarks .
The Eiffel Tower ,Big Ben and the Statue of Liberty .
I used glue, a cereal box and sellotape .
The hardest bit was to make Big Ben .
I made it on my own and it took 4 hours to complete it .
My favourite part is Big Ben and the Eiffel tower .
I felt delighted when I was finished it because it took a long time .

Hello my name is Ailbhe.
This is my project. I made a boutique.
A boutique is a fancy shop where you buy pretty dresses and accessories.
I used a cardboard box, wallpaper, sequins, and doll clothes.
It took me two days to complete it.
The most difficult part was putting the carpet down.
My favourite part was making the hangers with wire.
I had lots of fun creating it with my mammy.
I felt very happy when I completed it.

Hello my name is Sarah.
This is my project it is a pencil holder.
I made it out of a toilet roll,paint and stickers.
I started on the 1st of June and brought it in the 2nd of June.
I looked up the internet and found some pencil holders and gave me a great idea.
It took me 15 minutes to complete it.
The trickest part was when I put the stickers on the paint.
I was delighted when I was finished.

Hello my name is Susie
My Dad And Mum helped me.
The hardest bit was the roof, at first the roof was made of lollipop sticks but they would not stick ,
properly. So then I used a bit of the shoe box for the roof.
My favourite part was spray painting the roof.
The base and roof are made of shoe-boxes.
And I added some foam stickers.
It took 1 day to finish my project.

Hello my name is Saoirse.
This is my project. I made a catwalk. My daddy helped me.
We used: a piece of wood ,a shoe box, gold card, silicon, mini mirrors, stick on diamonds, scissors and my harimika.
It was fun making it but sometimes a little bit frustrating. I am delighted with the end result. Thank you!

Hello my name is Aodhán. I made a bow and arrow that shoots. The materials required were two sheets of paper, sellotape and straws for the arrows. My mum and dad helped me. The tricky part was figuring out what material to use for the arrows. My favourite part was firing the arrows. I felt I achieved well when I finished the project.

Elsa’s Castle by Amy
Materials:

Cotton balls

Lid of box

Glue
Instructions:
Frist I put the box on top of the lid
Then I glued it down good
Next I glued all the cotton balls on the base it took about 15 minutes
Next I painted the back ground with the blue and white paint
Next I made Elsa and Olaf
Then we put it altogether and it made a great project
My project took me 1hr 15 minutes to finish it. When it was completed I was proud and delighted with myself. My favourite part about my project was making the Olaf out of play Doh. The tricky part of making my project was making Elsa.
I would like to thank mam and dad for helping me get all the things a needed for my project.
