History

 

St. Mary’s N.S. is a six teacher school situated in Crosserlough, Co. Cavan. It is a small rural school with a present enrolment of 126 pupils. The school was built in 1981 as a 4 teacher school. It developed over the years and due to an increase in pupils attending a new extension was built onto the school in 2004.The school now has 5 mainstream classrooms all equipped with data projectors, teaching laptops and interactive white boards. The school has a well equipped learning support/resource room. All administration is conducted in the secretary’s office which is located at the front entrance of the school. There is a general purpose hall which is used throughout the year to cater for gymnastics, dance, physical exercise and as a place to perform class plays and to practice for Christmas Prayer Service.
