Causey Farm

Today we went on our school tour to Causey farm.

First we ate our lunch. After lunch we walked around the farm to see the farm animals.

We saw a pig with her piglets. Then we gave some grass to the goat in the field. After that we walked through a tunnel to a field where there were horses and foals. We fed hay to the horses.

Next we saw hens and a rooster. The guide allowed us stroke the hen.

After that we gave grass to a donkey and her foal. When we arrived back at the farmyard we got to pet 3 sheepdog puppies. They were so cute.

We washed our hands and sat down for lunch together in a big barn.

After lunch we got a ride in a trailer to the bog. It was a bumpy ride but we had good fun singing songs. When we got to the bog we had fun at an obstacle course. We met a man called Joe who told us about turf cutting. We tried to catch the turf as he tossed it in the air at us!  Ater that we made stacks with the turf. It was really hot and we were very tired.

Finally we got a ride in the trailer back to the farmyard. We washed our hands and walked to the bus. On the way home we were very tired. We arrived at the school just in time for the bus.

We really enjoyed our day at Causey Farm.
